“Our students have a passion for animals and animal welfare. Pasado’s Safe Haven tapped into that energy and really inspired our students with powerful stories and concrete information about how we can make a difference for animals. And when we make a difference for animals, we make a difference for all of us. Great presentation!”
Our students loved being able to see the difference Pasado’s Safe Haven can make. They found it heartbreaking to learn about some of the cruelty animals face but truly appreciated the beautiful home Pasado’s Safe Haven is able to provide. This gave them a better understanding of how they can help protect animals and become involved if they witness abuse. It helps students develop compassion for all living things.
At Pasado’s Safe Haven, we believe compassionate action is fundamental to dismantling systems of oppression for all living beings. We courageously live this belief every day through our work to end animal cruelty and our commitment to respect and kindness. We can only be successful by embracing the diversity and power of each individual’s lived experience as we all work together toward an expanded circle of compassion.
Our programs are designed to connect with multiple nationally recognized education standards to maximize the learning experience. This includes links to the Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core English Language Art Standards, as well as CASEL’s evidenced based Social and Emotional Learning Framework and valuable Character Education concepts.
