Let’s Kiss Animal Cruelty Goodbye!
For 25 years, Pasado’s Safe Haven and our supporters have been on a mighty mission to end animal cruelty
Our comprehensive programs are tackling this complex issue head-on. We seek to both alleviate animal suffering and eradicate its root causes. The result will be a world where animal cruelty is a thing of the past.
But as our reach and scope of service have expanded, our aging sanctuary facilities have struggled to keep pace. So now, we are embarking on the Kiss Animal Cruelty Goodbye capital campaign, the first in our organization’s history, to help fund improvements across our sanctuary campus that will allow us to continue our fight for the decades ahead.

Our vision
Every animal matters. At Pasado’s Safe Haven, we envision a world where every animal is recognized as an individual with his/her own feelings, emotions and personality…and most importantly, with the right to live free from abuse, neglect or exploitation. We seek both to alleviate animal suffering and eradicate its root causes. The result will be a world where animal cruelty is a thing of the past. Our programs strive to inspire people to identify with animals, leading to changes in systems and societal practices that further protect animals and ultimately put us in right relationship to each other. We are relentless in our resolve to end animal cruelty. Our commitment to justice in human-animal relationships drives work that is focused on the most vulnerable animals among us – victims of cruelty and neglect, animals living with families lacking access to critical services, and those animals whose very survival depends upon social and/or legislative change. We are raising the bar on an entire system.
The perfect time
Pasado’s Safe Haven is a regional force and national example in its work. But as our reach and scope of service have expanded, our aging campus facilities have struggled to keep pace. So now, after nearly 25 years in operation, we are embarking on the first capital campaign in our organization’s history. Our current working project cost is estimated at $10 million. This will cover comprehensive improvements that are necessary to ensure our facilities best support the unique needs of the animals we serve and the people who make this work possible.
