To encourage a touchless experience, a digital waiver is provided to complete in advance of your visit. Please do not attend the event if you have a fever, cough, respiratory illness, or are experiencing any contagious illness or symptoms of illness. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
Please dress for the weather. Tours take place rain or shine. Check the weather prior to your visit and dress accordingly. We recommend bringing extra layers and wearing boots/shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
The sanctuary is about 85 acres and includes a number of hills and rocky paths. The average tour spans about 2 miles by the time it is done. The tour path includes hardened surfaces, as well as rocky, grassy, and/or uneven terrains. The path may be slippery or dusty depending on the season. For guest safety, wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers cannot enter any of our animal yards. If you need specific accommodations, please contact us at least 2 weeks prior to the tour.
Need additional accommodations? Pasado’s Safe Haven does not discriminate against sanctuary visitors on the basis of a person’s disability and will work to provide reasonable accommodations to visitors to ensure equal access to our tours, events, and activities. Therefore, we encourage individuals to contact us at least two weeks in advance of their visit to set up arrangements for any necessary accommodations. For more information and to make accommodation requests, please contact education@pasadosafehaven.org.
There has been a recent outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in North America. In order to keep our resident birds safe, all guests are required to scrub their shoes and use a disinfectant spray before entering the sanctuary grounds and starting their tour. At this time, tours will not be entering any of our bird yards and the birds will be inside.
Please refer to our personal animal guidelines. For the safety and well-being of you, your pets, other visitors, and the sanctuary animals, personal animals are not allowed on the Pasado’s Safe Haven’s sanctuary campus. Exceptions to this policy include service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act and animals participating in a pre-arranged “Meet and Greet” before an adoption. If you require a service animal, please contact us at least 2 weeks before your visit so we can make arrangements. No animal may be left unattended in a vehicle at any time.
